Welcome Messages
Professionally greet visitors and guests with personalised welcome messages on your digital signage screens. Messages appear automatically at the right time.
What does this module do?
The Welcome module enables professional and personalised visitor reception. Prepare welcome messages in advance, and they appear on screen at the right moment automatically.
- Scheduled greetings — set the visitor name, company, appointment time, and optionally a logo
- Early display — configure messages to appear before the appointment (e.g., 15 minutes early) so the message is already on screen when the guest arrives
- Automatic cleanup — outdated messages can be easily removed
- Playlist override — welcome messages can override the regular broadcast as an overlay, returning to normal programming when no visitors are expected
How to set up
Follow these steps to configure welcome messages.
Step 1 — Open the module
Navigate to Modules and open the Welcome module.
Step 2 — Create a welcome message
Enter the following details:
- Visitor's name
- Company name
- Appointment start time
- Logo (optional)
Set the message to appear before the actual appointment time (e.g., 15 minutes early) so it is ready when the guest arrives.
Step 3 — Select a template and publish
Choose a welcome template from the library. Enable "Skip template if there are no appointments" so the template only appears when visitors are expected.
Recommended publishing method
The best way to publish the welcome template for seamless operation.
- Create a separate playlist for the welcome template
- Set this playlist to "Override other playlists" — this makes it act as a layer on top of your regular broadcast
- Because the template is set to "skip when no data", your regular programming plays normally
- When a visitor is expected (based on the time configured in the module), the regular broadcast is interrupted and the welcome message appears
- Once the appointment window passes, the regular broadcast automatically resumes
Place a dedicated screen at your reception area. When no visitors are scheduled, the screen shows your regular company content. Welcome messages appear automatically when guests are expected.
