What does this module do?

The Polls module lets you create questions with multiple answer options and display them on your screens as an interactive voting template. Viewers cast their vote on the spot, and you can review the results — vote counts and percentages — at any time from one central overview.

• Multiple questions per poll — group several questions under a single poll and pick which one to display per template
• Rich answer options — each answer is a short label, with an optional image to make choices more visual
• Two ways to vote — viewers vote by tapping directly on a touchscreen, or by scanning the on-screen QR code and voting from their phone
• Live results — every vote is stored instantly, and results are shown as counts and percentages
• Screen-aware voting — votes can be linked to the screen they came from, so you know where responses originated
• Central management — create, edit, and review all your polls from one dashboard

How to set up

Follow these steps to create a poll and publish it to your screens.

Step 1 — Open the module

Navigate to Modules in the main menu and open the Poll management module. You'll see an overview of all your existing polls, with the number of questions per poll.

Step 2 — Create a poll

Click Add poll and give your poll a title (this is an internal name to help you organise your polls — for example, "Lunch survey" or "Team event vote"). Save to open the poll.

Step 3 — Add a question

Inside the poll, click Add poll question and enter the question title — this is the text your audience will actually read on screen (for example, "Where should we go for the summer outing?"). You can add more than one question to a single poll and choose per template which question to show.

Step 4 — Add answer options

Open the question and click Add poll answer for each option you want to offer. For every answer you provide:

• Answer title — the text of the option (e.g. "The beach", "The mountains")
• Image (optional) — upload a photo to display alongside the answer

Repeat until all your answer options are added.

Step 5 — Select a template

Go to the template library and filter by Module templates. Choose one of the poll templates:

• Poll 1 — a grid layout with answer cards (each with an optional image and a letter label A, B, C…)
• Poll 2 — a split layout with an image or video on one side and the answer options stacked on the other

Step 6 — Link the question to the template

In the editor, open the poll question settings and use Select a poll question to choose which question this template should display. The template automatically pulls in that question's answer options. A QR code is generated automatically on the template, so viewers can also vote from their phone.

How voting works

Once the template is live on a screen, your audience can vote in two ways:

• On the screen — tap an answer directly on a touchscreen
• On their phone — scan the QR code shown on the template and pick an answer in the mobile view

After voting, the viewer sees a confirmation ("Thank you for your answer!") and every vote is saved immediately.

Viewing results

From the poll overview, open the statistics view of a poll to see the results for each question:

• Answer — each option you created
• Votes — the number of votes that option received
• Percentage — that option's share of the total votes

Results update as new votes come in, so you can follow the outcome live.

Template & display settings

Configure how the poll template looks on your screens:

• Poll question — choose which question of the poll to display
• Background & text styling — set the background colour of the answer cards and the font size, colour, and weight of the text
• Animations — enable fade-in / zoom-in effects (with adjustable duration and delay) for the logo, title, and answer section
• Header — add a logo and an image or video background, with an adjustable overlay
• Orientation — templates adapt to both portrait (9:16) and landscape (16:9) screens
