Calamity Module
Register incidents per location and display a live "days without incidents" counter on your screens. Maintain one central log per location — the template does the counting for you.
What does this module do?
The Calamity module lets you register calamities (incidents) for each of your locations and display insights about them on your screens. The most common use is a "days without incidents" safety counter: the template automatically calculates how many days have passed since the last registered calamity and shows that number on screen.
- Per-location logging — keep a separate incident log for each location

- Automatic day counter — the template calculates the number of days since the most recent calamity; no manual updating required
- Location-based display — a template shows the counter for the specific location you select, so each screen reflects its own site
- Label-based organisation — group your locations with labels to keep large lists manageable
- Bulk management — add calamities one by one, or clear an entire location’s log in a single action
How to set up
Follow these steps to configure the Calamity module.
Step 1 — Open the module
Navigate to Modules in the main menu and open the Calamity module. You'll see an overview of your locations.
Step 2 — Set up your locations
Each calamity belongs to a location, so make sure your locations exist first.
- Use Add location to create a new location.
- Optionally assign labels to your locations to group and filter them (for example, per building or per site).
Step 3 — Register calamities for a location
Click Calamities on the relevant location to open its incident log, then click Add calamity and fill in:
- Description — a short description of the incident
- Date — the date the calamity occurred
Click Save. The new calamity appears in the location's list, sorted with the others. Repeat for every incident you want to log.
Within a location's list you can also:
- Edit an existing calamity to correct the description or date
- Delete a single calamity
- Remove all calamities to clear the entire log for that location (a confirmation is required)
Step 4 — Select a template
Go to the template library and filter by Module templates. Choose a Calamity template. In the editor, the template automatically links to the Calamity module.
Templates are grouped under the Warnings & Calamities category, which includes both the "days without incidents" counter styles and dedicated warning designs (fire, danger, weather, health, and more).
Template & display settings
Configure how and where the counter appears on your screens.
- Location — in the template editor, select which location’s calamities the template should use. The screen will then show the day counter for that specific location.
- Texts — customise the text above and below the counter (for example, the default reads "Since … days without incidents"). These fields are editable.
- Background & header — adjust the background colours and gradient, and optionally show your customer logo in the header.
- Footer & play-duration indicator — optionally show a footer with a progress bar indicating the template’s play duration.
The template looks up the most recent calamity for the selected location and displays the number of days that have passed since that date. Every time you register a new calamity, the counter resets automatically on the next update — you don't need to edit the template.
Add the template to your playlist as usual. Because the day count is calculated automatically from your calamity log, the template stays up to date on its own; you only maintain the incident list in the module.
