Birthdays & Anniversaries

What does this module do?

The Birthdays & Anniversaries module automates employee greetings. Instead of manually scheduling a template each day, you maintain one central employee list. The system automatically displays the greeting only on the relevant day.

• Automatic scheduling — greetings appear on the right day without manual intervention
• Centralised management — add, edit, or remove employees from one list
• CSV import — import large employee lists in bulk via CSV upload
• Location-based filtering — assign employees to locations so each office only sees its own birthdays (e.g., Tilburg office only sees Tilburg birthdays)
• Milestone filtering — filter work anniversaries by specific milestones (e.g., only show 12.5 and 25 years of service)
• Smart display — enable "Skip template if there are no birthdays/anniversaries" so the template is invisible on days when nobody has a birthday, and appears automatically when someone does

How to set up

Follow these steps to configure the Birthdays & Anniversaries module.

Step 1 — Open the module

Navigate to Modules in the main menu and open the Birthdays & Anniversaries module.

Step 2 — Add employees

Add employees to the list with the following details:

• Name
• Date of birth
• Start date (for work anniversaries)
• Photo (optional)

You can add employees individually or import them in bulk via CSV upload.

Step 3 — Configure locations (optional)

If your organisation has multiple offices, assign employees to their respective location. This ensures each screen only displays the birthdays for that specific office.

Step 4 — Select a template

Go to the template library and filter by Module templates. Choose a birthday or anniversary template. In the editor, the template will automatically link to the Birthdays module.

Template & display settings

Configure how and when the template appears on your screens.

• Display type — choose to show Birthdays, Anniversaries, or both
• Milestone filter — for anniversaries, filter on specific milestones (e.g., only 12.5 and 25 years of service)
• Smart display — enable "Skip template if there are no birthdays/anniversaries". This hides the template on days with no relevant events, and shows it automatically when there is something to celebrate
• Publish once — set the template to "always play" in your playlist. The module handles when to show and when to hide
